LaserWave® FLEX Bend-Optimized Fiber

LaserWave FLEX Fiber is a 50 micron laser-optimized multimode fiber designed for superior bandwidth performance and enhanced fiber management in data centers, high performance computing and enterprise LANs. With reduced bending loss at a radius as low as 7.5 mm, it enables compact system design and easier installation while facilitating jumper moves, adds and changes. DMD-certified for optimum bandwidth performance and reliability, LaserWave FLEX Fiber meets and exceeds the requirements of the OM3 and OM4 standards and is fully compatible with the installed base of multimode fiber.

LaserWave® FLEX G+ Bend-Optimized Fiber

LaserWave FLEX G+ Fiber provides high bandwidth and reduced bending loss for 1 Gigabit Ethernet transmission in local area networks at distances up to 750 meters. The fiber offers outstanding bend performance at a radius as low as 7.5 mm, enabling smaller, higher density fiber management systems in space-constrained environments, while simplifying jumper installation and routing. LaserWave FLEX G+ Fiber is backward-compatible with all standard 50 ìm multimode fibers.

LaserWave® G+ Fiber

LaserWave® G+ Fiber extends the distance of 1 Gb/s applications to 750 meters at 850 nm. For 10 Gb/s serial applications, LaserWave G+ 50 Micron Fiber more cost-effectively supports the 40 percent of building backbones that are less than 150 meters in length. Like LaserWave 550/300 Fiber, LaserWave G+ Fiber is a DMD-controlled fiber that provides optimum performance with laser sources.

LaserWave® 550/300 Fiber

Increasing bandwidth demands are driving the need for low cost 100 Gb/s connectivity in Local Area Networks, Storage Area Networks SANs), and Central Office/Internet Data Centers. Multimode fiber systems have traditionally provided the lowest cost for short reach optical communications systems of up to 1 Gb/s data rates by enabling lower transceiver, connector, and cable termination costs. LaserWave laser-optimized 50 micron multimode fibers are the first to extend the application of multimode fiber to support 100 Gb/s serial transmission to 550 meters or more with low cost 850 nm Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) transceivers.

Laser-Optimized 62.5 and 62.5 XL Fibers

OFS Laser-Optimized 62.5 and 62.5 XL Fibers, designed for 1 Gb/s operation, provide the bandwidth to extend the reach of Gigabit Ethernet operation beyond the 220 meter limits of conventional 62.5 multimode fiber. This enhanced 62.5 fiber supports Gigabit Ethernet distances of 300 meters at 850 nm and, with OFS Laser-Optimized 62.5 XL, 1000 meters at 1300 nm. OFS Laser-Optimized 62.5 Fiber is fully compatible with standard 62.5 multimode fiber.
